Tomb of Meryre I

Mery-re I was a high priest, and thus his tomb is quite ornate compared to the other, smaller tombs. A colored cornice around the entrance and columns of painted flowers in the vestibule

All the representations of Akhenaton have been chiseled out or otherwise defaced. There is an odd, semi-overhead view of the great temple on the wall, almost a blueprint, which has helped to visualize the great palaces down the hill in the city.
