The smallest of the three pyarmids on the site belongs to Menkaure, the successor of Khafre. It was unfinished at the time of the pharaohs death, and appears to have been finished hastily by his son

This is part of the small temple complex attached to the pyramid of Khafre, almost entirely undecorated, but with the most amazing stonework and alabaster floor

A huge wooden boat, made of 1200 pieces of cedar, was found in a buried pit alongside the pyramid

These three small pyramids are designated the Queen’s Pyramids, and are the burial places for Menkaure’s queens.
